About Sarah Yandell - Regional Director of Get Ahead Suffolk & Essex

I have had a 30-year career in the travel industry, during which I worked in all parts of the supply chain.  This included hotel sales, travelling all over the world to source accommodation for a student travel company and setting up and running an award-winning specialist tour operator.   I took a year out from my career in 2000 to do an MBA in General and Strategic Management, which supplements the skills I have learnt throughout my career.

I have a hands-on approach to understanding the requirements of my clients and ensuring that they have the right virtual assistance to meet their business goals.  Having had many years’ experience of managing and facilitating teams at all levels, I enjoy working with clients on large projects that require input from a number of members of the team.

I launched Get Ahead in Suffolk and Essex in July 2020 when I realised that the Covid 19 crisis would have a long term effect on the travel industry.  Having researched a number of options, I knew that Get Ahead was a perfect fit for my skill set, allowing me to run my own business, have flexibility in how I worked and still be part of a team.
